About the event
Course Information
We are excited to offer a four-hour Geometry Boot Camp for students who want to get a head start in high school Geometry this upcoming school year!
Our boot camp is designed for high school students and serves as a bridge from Algebra into Geometry coursework. Imagine the benefit of knowing the material before the first class even starts! Get and stay ahead of the class with vital instruction that reinforces Algebra concepts, Coordinate Planes, and high school Geometry.
Course Objectives
As students prepare to enter high school Geometry, our objective is simply to make their transition into Geometry less frightening. If your student is new to Geometry, this course will serve as a primer; consequently, making Geometry more palatable from the first day of class!
Benefits
Imagine Geometry students observing their teacher teach a concept they've already learned and practiced before being exposed to it in class! For those previously introduced to Geometry, this course will serve as a refresher but with an extra benefit! Students will learn how to process and analytically solve Geometry problems by hand and using their graphing calculator.
Additionally, there are approximately 21 Geometry related questions on the ACT Test. Students will gain valuable skills that are proven to improve their ACT Math Score.
Course Materials
Geometry Workbook and TI84 Calculator guide will be provided
Optional Student Materials
Although not required, we recommend a TI84 Plus CE Graphing calculator. Your student can quickly answer many Geometry questions using a graphing calculator. Our instructors will teach your student how to answer these questions using a TI84 Plus CE graphing calculator, saving precious time for more complicated, time-intensive questions.
