About the event

This free class, designed for Juniors and Seniors, will help students navigate the Common App.  The Common App is used by over 800+ colleges/universities in the US. Very similar to the NOLA One app. It can be a bit overwhelming for students and parents.

The goal/objective of this course is for each student to walk away with a Student Common App account that is completed (student portion) and ready for the parent/guardian to complete the student portion of the application.

Students will search and acquaint themselves with their chosen schools' individualized requirements (essay, etc.), admission schedules/deadlines, understand the difference and implications of applying early (early action, restrictive decision), apply for a fee waiver, request recommendations (must be done within the application), and submit their essay (if required) via the common app.
